Real Estate Transactions

Real Estate Lawyers in Springfield, Massachusetts

Over 30 Years of Experience Handling Real Estate Transactions

If you are considering buying or selling residential or commercial property or have other legal concerns involving real property, you want an experienced attorney to protect your interests. Real estate transactions involve many complex and detailed documents and seemingly small and innocent mistakes can have significant consequences. You want a lawyer with a comprehensive understanding to the law and your options to help ensure that you make informed decisions that are in your best interests.

At the law firm of Kalill, Glasser & Associates, with offices in Springfield and Westfield, we offer a broad range of real estate matters for individuals throughout western Massachusetts and northern Connecticut. We have built our practice on a commitment to carefully listening to all the concerns of our clients, so that we are fully prepared for all contingencies and can help you find creative solutions that meet your individual needs. Though we are skilled litigators, we also work with clients who want to explore alternative means of dispute resolution, including mediation. Contact our offices or call us at 413-306-4315 to arrange a free, 20 minute consultation.

Our Real Estate Practice

We work with individuals and businesses at all stages of a residential or commercial real estate transaction, from the negotiation of terms through closing. We will examine any proposed financing arrangements and help you find alternative financing when appropriate. We negotiate, review and prepare all the documents required to successfully complete the purchase of sale of real property, including buy-sell agreements, deeds, mortgages, notes and other financing instruments, easements and restrictive covenants.

We also handle:

  • Tax deferred exchanges, also known as 1031 exchanges. We will help you determine whether you qualify for a 1031 exchange and, if so, handle all paperwork and filings necessary to complete the exchange.
  • Residential and commercial leasing matters. We represent landlords and tenants in disputes involving residential or commercial property, including evictions, failure to pay, deposit recovery and breach of contract.
  • Foreclosures. We work with homeowners who face foreclosure, helping you find ways to suspend or avoid the foreclosure process.
  • Construction defects. We represent homeowners who have suffered damages due to defects in new construction, remodeling or renovation projects.
  • Condominium conversions and creations. We work with property owners who seek to build new condominiums or convert existing structure to a condominium form of ownership.

We also handle issues involving land use and zoning, as well as disputes involving mechanics liens.

For a free, 20 minute consultation with one of our experienced lawyers, contact us or call us at 413-306-4315. Our offices are open from 9:30 am until 5 pm, Monday through Friday, and evenings and weekends upon request. We accept Visa and MasterCard and payment plans are available.
